THIRUKKURAL COMPETITION
Thirukkural Competition is being organized by JK FOUNDATION in all the districts of Tamilnadu and Pondicherry with the motive of enhancing the interest over Thirukkural and Tamil literature.
Motivation of Thirukkural Competition
The Founder-Trustee of JK foundation has viewed a report in the daily news paper that the family holding 4 members (Husband, wife and 2 Daughters) has committed suicide because of huge loss in the business for the past 5 years. The head of that family wrote a letter before committing the suicide that he did not follow 8 Thirukkural during his lifetime; if he might have followed those Thirukkural he might not have faced those many problems during his lifetime. So the founder of JK Foundation has decided to conduct this Thirukkural Competition in order to avoid such situation once again.
The Thirukkural Competition was successfully launched in Kancheepuram district on 6th October 2012 at St. Columba Higher Secondary School, Chengalpet. Thirukkural Competition in kancheepuram district was at participated by 1000 plus people. All the participants were given participant certificates, plates as consolation prize and food and water bottles.
